What a lovely evening!
Wednesday 24 May saw the RBSA Certificate Presentation Evening during which the Society welcomed its newly elected Members and Associates into the fold. The President, Vice Presidents, Past Presidents and members of the Council were all in attendance and were joined by our inductees and their guests.
President Viv Astling welcomed all new Members and Associates before handing over to Nigel Priddey, RBSA Archive Officer, who spoke briefly about some of the newest acquisitions into the RBSA Collection and Archive.
This year the RBSA welcomes three new Members, who have progressed from their Associate Membership, as well as 11 brand new Associates, into the Society. Becoming full Members were Rob Leckey, Terry Lord and Pete Underhill. They were joined by Andrew Barrowman, Lawrence Green, Martyn Harris, Helen Lycett, Darius Martisius, Lachlan Monaghan, Elizabeth Nast, Clare Pentlow, Kathryn Sawbridge, Olivia Swinscoe and Jodie Wingham, who all became Associate Members.
This induction was also a historic one as the Society can now name two photographers amongst its artist members. This represents the first time those whose practice is based on photography have been permitted to join since the Society’s inception 200 years ago.
Congratulations to all of our new M&As!
