Description
Interlocking Stories Catch Earrings by Shelanu.
The Interlocking Stories range was designed by members of Shelanu and includes three collections: Match, Catch & Latch, which share a design approach and so could be worn together. The collections combine striking contemporary designs with meaning; inspired by the importance of life balance, binding human connections and the amalgamation of diverse elements and stories that define each one of us. The jewellery is a true reflection of the collective sprit found within Shelanu.
The bold outlines of the Catch collection create simple but statement pieces including rings, brooches, earrings, pendants and a bracelet.
These strikingly contemporary pieces are cast in 925 silver in Birmingham’s famous Jewellery Quarter, gold plate highlights are added to provide variety to the range, and pieces are hand finished by Shelanu members in their workshop.
The Interlocking stories range was developed with support from artist Charlotte Valkeniers.

About Shelanu:
Refugee and migrant women working with Craftspace to develop a sustainable craft social enterprise.
Shelanu, which means ‘belonging to us’, is a collective of migrant and refugee women working with Craftspace to develop craft skills, confidence and well-being through social enterprise. They produce high quality craft inspired by their new home, the city of Birmingham and their experiences of migration. As well as learning new making skills, the women are supported to improve their English, learn business skills and run workshops for the community.
A range of activities help members to develop new skills (including craft, improving English and business skills), increase confidence, combat isolation, challenge preconceptions and support integration.
Shelanu jewellery, such as this Interlocking Stories Catch Earrings, make perfect gifts for your loved ones.
