On Saturday 30 August the Gallery welcomed almost 260 people to celebrate the first ever RBSA Young Artists Prize. Prize givings were held for each different age group with the winners congratulated by RBSA President Ed Isaacs. Prizes were kindly sponsored by Cass Art and the winners in both the 4 – 6 and 7 – 10 age groups were also awarded a copy of Ruth Millington’s wonderful children’s book This Book Will Make You An Artist. As well as an overall winner, each age group also saw two artists awarded with a Highly Commended Certificate.
