About the maker:
Ruth is the designer/creator behind 76 Silver; based in Worcestershire she designs and creates her silver jewellery from responsibly sourced materials. Five years ago Ruth found herself at a career crossroads and with her marketing position no longer providing her with the creative challenge she desired, she re-trained as a silversmith.
Ruth’s inspiration often comes from the outdoors. She has a passion for the shapes and textures found in nature.
It’s vitally important that all waste material is used and with a passion for organic-looking jewellery, Ruth often works with the silver in a molten state, which creates unique surface textures. Many of her pieces also carry the marks from the vintage tools that Ruth loves to collect from local flea markets.
It is important to Ruth that her designs are tactile and easy to wear, quality everyday jewellery with a contemporary feel.
