Conversation with the Past, Present, and Future
Jacqui Dodds ARBSA explores both urban and rural spaces, responding to moments in time that are captured through her printmaking.
Some places are in flux, being developed, and some are now settled and have been through that process. There are always conversations about our environments, their history, whether and how they should change.
Colour is significant in Jacqui’s work, whether subtle or vibrant. Using a limited palette or leaving areas untouched, she explores space and mood within images. Surfaces of her screenprints show layers of solid and transparent elements
A recent DYCP Arts Council award led to the artist visiting new sites around the UK to create a set of new screen prints inspired by these places.
Jacqui is an elected Associate Member of the RBSA (Royal Birmingham Society of Artists), a member of the Printmakers Council London, Leicester Print Workshop, and Wrexham Print Centre.
Exhibition closes: Saturday 15 November 5.00pm
