RBSA Print Prize 2026

THIS CALL IS NOW CLOSED

Entry fees deadline: Thursday 15 January, 4.00pm

Exhibition runs: Thursday 26 February – Saturday 28 March 2026

About This Exhibition

The RBSA Print Prize celebrates and supports printmakers, providing an opportunity for artists to exhibit their work in the RBSA’s renowned Gallery and win prizes.

This is a technique prize, meaning that we invite entries from artists working in any printmaking discipline. All types of original prints may be entered, this includes original digital prints, as long as they are of an original work made using digital technology rather than a digital copy of handmade work. These must also be part of an edition.

We welcome entries from professional and emerging artists, based locally, nationally, and internationally.

Selecting this year’s exhibition will be:

  • Professor Caroline Archer-Parré – Professor of Typography and Co-Director of the Centre for Printing History and Culture at Birmingham City University/University of Birmingham, and Chair of the Baskerville Society and Print Networks
  • Leonie Bradley – Artist, printmaker, and Editor of Printmaking Today
  • Katie Brent – Printmaker and teacher

The following prizes will be awarded:

First Prize £1000 sponsored by GMC Trust
Second Prize £500 Anne Judd Award
Third Prize £250 sponsored by Judd Medical
Editorial in Printmaking Today
Up to six highly commended certificates will also be awarded.

Selection for the Print Prize is by digital image of the original artwork only. All works entered go through the same anonymous selection process. The selection is based on the assessment of the quality and interest of each work.

A catalogue featuring all works will be published alongside the exhibition.
