These Chiloé Wigeons (native to South America) are part of the wildfowl collection at the Slimbridge Wetlands Centre. Their pair bonding behaviour is easy to relate to and their distinctive plumage makes them much more colourful than their European cousins, who are winter visitors here. There are three versions within this edition. Version 1 shows off their iridescent heads, which are very striking when they catch the light.
