The RBSA Gallery is pleased to present the Watercolour Prize 2025 catalogue, this catalogue contains all of the artwork selected for the exhibition.
The first RBSA Watercolour Prize in over a decade invited artists creating work using water-based media to enter artwork. Work made using any water-based media was eligible; this includes gouache, acrylic, ink, pigment, watercolour, or a mixed media piece primarily made using any of this list.
We welcomed entries from professional and emerging artists based locally, nationally, and internationally. There were three prizes to be won, including £1,000 First Prize, £500 Second Prize, and £250 Third Prize. Highly commended certificates were also awarded.
All prizes have been sponsored by the Birmingham Watercolour Society.
This year’s exhibition was selected by:
- Chris Myers PPRI RBA – President of the Royal Institute of Painters in Watercolour (2022 – 2025)
- Glen Ibbitson VPRWSW RBSA – Vice President of the Royal Watercolour Society of Wales
- Lesley Samms – Founder/MD Pure Arts Group
