Susan Sansome worked as a theatrical costume designer for The Playhouse Sheffield, she illustrated children’s books and has also taught portrait painting at Leicester College of Adult Education and Art & Fashion at Leicester High School.
Susan was elected as a Member of the RBSA in 2001 and is also a Member of Leicester Society of Artists, Leicester Pastel Society, Birmingham & Midlands Pastel Society, and Leicester Sketch Club where she was their centenary year president. Susan trained at Leicester College of Art in Fashion Design.
She has exhibited widely, and examples of her work can be seen on permanent display at Leicester Royal Infirmary, Leicester and Durham Universities and her work has been exhibited throughout the country including the Mall Galleries, London.
Her subjects include still life, landscapes, figures and portrait commissions.
