Raji Mahesh

Raji Mahesh draws inspiration from nature, her engineering education, and a childhood passion for drawing. Her work features bright, beautiful, bold colours associated with Kerala, India, where she was born and spent her childhood. She expresses herself through drawing in all media and paints with water-based colours.

Her recent body of work, ‘Trees of India’ features the characteristic trees of India. In these paintings she focuses on capturing the tree silhouettes precisely and places the trees in their natural settings. She gives great importance to adding defined paths in her paintings to lead the viewers into the paintings.
