Jenny Ryrie has exhibited her large expressive watercolours and acrylics nationally and internationally including the Thackeray Gallery, London, group shows in France, Italy, Germany, Switzerland and at the Ekaterinburg Museum of Fine Art, Russia.
Inspired by the intense energies of the American landscape she has had many solo exhibitions with Canyon Road Contemporary Art, Santa Fe, New Mexico, USA.
Since 2002 Jenny has been exploring pure abstraction inspired by music, poetry and dance resulting in several shows at the Castle Street Gallery, Hay-on-Wye during the Guardian Literature Festival. She was the invited artist at the BBC Radio Jazz Awards at the Mermaid Theatre, London with a solo exhibition of musical abstracts.
Much of her work combines these two themes of music and landscape. Her work is held in numerous private, corporate and public collections and appears in several publications including Twelve Women Artists in the North West and Miller’s Pictures Price Guide.
