Gordon Yapp is a printmaker from Birmingham. Gordon studied at Moseley Art School, Bournville and Margaret Street Art College. He worked in the studio of the portrait painter Bernard J. Powell, followed by a successful career as a graphic artist specialising in creative printmaking.
Yapp is well-known for his woodcut prints and etchings based on country life and Shropshire landscape and he exhibits in England and Wales. He implemented a print making project with the Sidney Nolan Trust, establishing non-acid etching in Mid Wales and the Borders. Gordon is founder of the Birmingham Pastel Society and a senior Member of the Arts Circle and Watercolour Society.
