David George was born in the Black Country.
He has exhibited widely, including the Royal Society of Portrait Painters at the Mall Galleries, London, the Birmingham Open, the RBSA Open and Prize Exhibitions.
David has won many prizes for his paintings and has received prestigious public portrait commissions; he has also painted many private commissions.
His landscape and beach paintings are in private collections around the world.
“I am primarily interested in light. I aim to capture mood in a painting; I try to keep the brushwork loose and lively…the feel of the piece is what is important to me, not the detail.”
David regularly gives painting demonstrations to art societies of portraiture, landscapes and beachscapes.
David divides his painting time between the Black Country and Harlech, in North Wales.
