Brian Fletcher lives in Stourbridge and was elected as an Associate of the RBSA in 1991 and as a full Member in 1994. He is a member of the Birmingham Art Circle, Dudley Society of Artists and held position as Vice President of the Easel Club.
He has exhibited widely, both locally and nationally and received a number of awards. In 2009 he had work exhibited in London with the Royal Society of British Artists and was awarded the major prize in the RBSA Members and Associates Exhibition. His work is held in the permanent collections of Shropshire County Council, Dudley Art Gallery and at the RBSA Gallery.
He works in many media, but his great passion is for large scale works in luscious, thick impasto oil paint and large landscape, portrait and figure graphite drawings. The rugged industrial scenery of the Black Country inspires much of his work as well British mountain scenery.
