Exhibitions
The annual RBSA Friends Exhibition gives artists with a Friends subscription the opportunity to exhibit their work in the RBSA Gallery and get to know the Society and its Membership.
RBSA Friends have been part of the Society since the 1900s, and the RBSA was one of the first art societies to give their subscribers a dedicated exhibition. There are currently around 320 RBSA Friends and over 200 of them submitted work for this year’s show.
Many Friends make the decision to submit work for the RBSA Candidates Exhibition in the hope of being elected an RBSA Associate, and many of the current Membership began their journey with the Society as a Friend.
The practices of RBSA Friends are enormously varied and the artists exhibiting are all at very different stages of their artistic careers. This variety results in an exhibition that is vibrant and diverse and a true celebration of the wider RBSA community.
Anyone can sign up as an RBSA Friend and full details of how to join can be found here.
Official Opening: Thursday 15 January 6.00pm – 8.00pm
