Thomas Ashby

Thomas (Bob) Ashby, having retired from a career in teaching (Head of Art, Moseley Road Art School and Director of Art and Design, King Edwards School Birmingham) now paints regularly in the UK and abroad. He is particularly interested in the work of Joan Eardly, Barbara Rae and Richard Diebenkorn.

He was elected as an Associate of the RBSA in 1972, and a Member in 1982.  He has experience using a wide range of media, though his preference is acrylic and pastel.  Ashby creates images based on landscapes in and around the village of  Tysoe at the foot of Edgehill in Warwickshire, and regularly exhibits in the Midlands and abroad.
