Silvia Bowman was born in Switzerland and moved to England in 1968. In 1990, she took an Open University course; she joined George Busby’s painting class, and it was he who encouraged her to exhibit her paintings.
She was elected an Associate of the RBSA in 1994 and became a Member in 1996.
Silvia’s travels have taken her to India, Morocco, Cuba and Zanzibar. In recent years, she finds Italy gives her the most inspiration. Her watercolour paintings are mainly large floral designs in which she can indulge her love for colour. Some of her work has been printed as greeting cards, calendars and photo albums. She now lives in Cornwall.
