Penny German is a Northamptonshire based artist working in oil, predominantly producing still-life in her studio or in plein-air landscapes.
Penny creates art out of whatever subject matter is to hand. She considers the process of studying and depicting the effects of light to be the goal, rather than the finished work.
Her larger works can be found in galleries around the UK. Penny regularly contributes articles to The Artist magazine and in 2015 was awarded The Artist Purchase Prize, judged by Ken Howard. Penny shows regularly with the ROI and holds one-day workshops and offers painting holidays in France.
