Nigel Priddey was educated at Hammersmith College of Art and Thames Polytechnic, London and is a Member of the RBSA, (was elected as an Associate 1983 and a Member in 1988) and the Chartered Society of Designers, (was elected in 1994).
He has exhibited widely and has received numerous prizes and awards during his career, most recently the Cass Art prize for ‘a work demonstrating the most innovative use of colour’ which was awarded at the Royal Institute of Painters in Water Colours exhibition at the Mall Galleries, London.
Nigel is currently the RBSA’s Archive Officer and has been closely involved with film making to promote the Society’s Collection and Archive, and it’s Accredited Museum status.
He works mainly in watercolour, seeking pattern and colour in the landscape using both conventional and unconventional techniques to help him realise his vision.
