Michael Sadler works in series developing a theme by focusing on a single word or short phrase. The work he has produced in the last few years has included his ‘Binary’ and ‘Satellite’ series based on his layman’s interest in astronomical phenomena and space exploration. His most recent series of paintings are titled ‘Harlequin’ and have sprung from a chance butterfly encounter during lockdown. Occasionally he will also make stand alone paintings – ‘Palimpsest’ being an example.
His work is held in public collections and in private collections in the UK and Eire.
