Carl Swanson

Carl Swanson studied woodwork, ceramics and sculpture at Leicester College of Art and later went on to further study in ceramics at Loughborough College of Art. He taught sculpture (including blacksmithing) and ceramics at Leicester College , William Bradford College and the Douglas Bader Centre.

He is an Academician of the RWA , a member of the LSA and a Professional Member of the Artists Blacksmiths Association. At the RBSA, he has won the Feeney prize and the Jaguar prize.

He has exhibited regularly at the Annual Autumn RWA Exhibitions .He has also shown works at the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition. In 1995 his work was in a group show at the Pyramid Gallery in New York.

His work is included in several private collections and in the Leicester University Art Collection and the RWA.
