SUMMARY:RBSA On Tour at Winterbourne House
DESCRIPTION:RBSA On Tour exhibitions began in 2024 when the Membership was given the opportunity to exhibit work in the Wyre Forest Gallery at Bewdley Museum. This was followed in 2025 by a show at Three Snowhill in central Birmingham. \n2026 sees the Membership on tour once again as they take work to Winterbourne House and Gardens in Edgbaston\, Birmingham. A rare surviving example of an early 20th century suburban villa\, Winterbourne House was built in 1904 for John and Margaret Nettlefold\, and sits within seven acres of garden\, which boasts a Japanese bridge\, walled garden\, and nut walk. \nNot only do these exhibitions allow the RBSA Membership to show their work in new locations and to new audiences\, they also introduce the Society to people who may not normally visit the Gallery on St. Paul’s Square. \nThis exhibition brings together the work of over 40 RBSA Members and Associates and runs throughout winter to the end of February. \nExhibition closes: Saturday 28 February 2027 4.00pm \nImage: David Walton RBSA\, Leaf 2

SUMMARY:Steve Evans PPRBSA
DESCRIPTION:Steve Evans’ work is informed by his interest in architecture and structural stability resulting from form and shape. He is a Chartered Structural Engineer. His drawn work incorporates the techniques and formal qualities of technical drawing before the advent of Computer Aided Draughting – precision\, the repetition of line and show reference to geometry. \nUnlike CAD\, these works contain minute inconsistencies; the spacing\, whilst measured\, is imprecise\, the thickness of line variable. These ‘flaws’ evident in the hand-drawn pieces\, add qualities that make each unique – sometimes the arrangements of line create visual disturbances and illusions beyond the original architectural or formal references. \nThe drawn works are layered\, often using transparent materials and separation so that the work changes depending on the viewpoint. \nExhibition closes: Saturday 14 November 5.00pm \nFeatured image: Steve Evans PPRBSA\, A Short Visit To Nowhere (detail) \n

SUMMARY:Ryan Everson RBSA
DESCRIPTION:Ryan Everson investigates the ever-changing urban landscape of Britain’s cities\, and our interactions with them. He records the conversations these places have with time. These are evident in the decay of surfaces\, the layering of graffiti\, the typography and architecture of each space is unique and temporary. \nExhibition closes: Saturday 14 November 5.00pm \nFeatured image: Ryan Everson RBSA\, Palazzo Tiepolo (detail) \n

SUMMARY:Paul Brown RBSA
DESCRIPTION:Paul Brown’s work is predominantly figurative\, working mainly in clay focusing primarily on the human form. His life studies are concerned with finding the character and inherent demeanour of the subject. Expressions of a more imaginative form of imagery. \nPaul has been a Member of the RBSA for over 17 years\, he is also a member of the Birmingham Art Circle\, and has over 25 years’ experience teaching adults and children within the creative world. \nExhibition closes: Saturday 14 November 5.00pm \nFeatured image: Paul Brown RBSA\, Bearded Man
