Artist’s Talk – Andrew Barrowman ARBSA

Join us in the Gallery for a talk and artist’s demonstration from Andrew Barrowman ARBSA.

Andrew works with willow charcoal and a variety of erasers to create his atmospheric charcoal landscape drawings. He will demonstrate how he constructs a drawing with willow charcoal, beginning with energetic abstract tonal shapes that are erased and added to, in a continuing ‘push / pull’ way of working, gradually refining the image subtly by erasing and adding more charcoal. Andrew will be using willow charcoal, putty erasers, hard erasers on Fabriano Acadelie paper.
