David Paul Gleeson

David Paul Gleeson

David has staged solo shows in Stafford, Cambridge and London and has submitted work to group exhibitions throughout Britain as well as in America. He is a consistent Prizewinner at many of these exhibitions. Examples of his work are held in a number of public collections including those of Chester, Staffordshire County Council and Keele and Aberystwyth Universities. In 2006, he was commissioned to design a stained glass window at St Mary’s Church in Stafford which was later dedicated by the Queen. David believes every work of art has its own speed. Many of his works demand a great deal of time. He notes that: ‘in our contemporary world, everything goes at high speed, and the slow ones are always in an eternal contradiction’.
