I studied fine art at Wigan and Sunderland, leaving college in 1980 with a Max Beckmann and Istanbul Summer School scholarships and the Sunderland Fine Art Prize. I have continually worked in the creative industries, teaching, illustrating and exhibiting around the world. I have shown in New York, Quebec, Ghent, Dublin, London and around the UK as both a painter and printmaker in numerous one-man and group shows since the early 1980s.
