Phil Ordidge

Phil Ordidge graduated with a BSc Honours in Physics from Birmingham University, and taught students up to A-level. Throughout this time he continued to develop his artistic skills with watercolour painting. After teaching for 33 years he decided to put away the test tubes and concentrate on the brushes. He was elected as an associate of the RBSA in 2007. He spent a considerable time working with well-known local artists, and started to exhibit his work with local groups including the Friends of the RBSA. He is now an elected member of the Birmingham Art Circle, the Birmingham Watercolour Society and an Associate Member of the RBSA. As a keen mountain walker and climber Phil finds endless opportunities for capturing landscapes on visits to England, Wales and Europe. He exhibits regularly at the RBSA, and in other venues in the Midlands. He loves to find opportunities where the ambience and the light produce something out of the ordinary.
