About the Archive Team
The Archive Team is composed primarily of volunteers. Members of the team include volunteers from the RBSA’s membership and Friends scheme, as well undergraduate and postgraduate students from the University of Birmingham’s History of Art department. The RBSA’s Undergraduate Volunteer Research Assistant Programme has now been running for four years and recruits two new volunteers each Autumn. In 2009, the RBSA set up a Young Person’s Archive Internship with the support of the Heritage Lottery Fund. This initiative provides sixth-form students with training in archival work, as well as the opportunity to co-curate forthcoming exhibitions.
